How I Help?

I am a strong proponent of Person-Centred Therapy and have used this form of therapy to help hundreds of my clients in Wigan and across the Northwest.

Person Centred Counselling

Person-centred therapy, also known as person-centred or client-centred counselling, is a unique approach to therapy that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.

Why This Method?

The main purpose of person-centred therapy is to improve a person’s ability to self-actualise– the belief that all of us will grow and fulfil our potential. This approach promotes the personal growth and relationships of a client by allowing them to explore and utilise their own strengths and personal identity. I act as your guide in this process, providing vital support to my clients as they make their way through this journey.

In my experience, person-centred therapy can help individuals of all ages, with a range of personal issues. Many people find it an appealing type of therapy because it allows them to keep control over the pace of sessions with a total lack of judgement from myself. I am your guide, here to help.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling.  I have worked one-to-one with men, women and young people who have been victims of child abuse, domestic abuse, and rape. I have also worked with individuals who are struggling with food disorders, self-harm, suicidal tendencies, mental health issues, OCD, sexuality, stress, anxiety, personal loss, grief, anger, and self-esteem issues. My experience helping clients with a variety of serious issues means I can certainly help you on the way to recovery in a calm, no judgement atmosphere.
