Get To Know Your Therapist
I decided to qualify as a Person-Centred Counsellor as it provides people with the opportunity to explore their inner feelings, empowering my clients to come to the realisation of what they would like to change in their life and how that can be achieved. As an empathetic therapist, I feel the most important aspect of counselling is for you to talk about whatever you want in a safe and calm place and at a pace that suits you.
The ability to open up about your inner world can be very difficult and at times uncomfortable. However, the positive effect this can have on your life makes the hard work all worth it.

Beginning Your Counselling in Wigan
I first prefer to organise a phone call with my clients to hear, in your own words, what you believe your problems to be. After this initial conversation, which of course is strictly confidential, I will advise on whether I can help you and I’ll answer any questions you may have. After this, we’ll arrange your first counselling appointment to discuss what you believe to be holding you back. At these appointments, I will never rush or pressure you to disclose or share any information that you are not ready to, instead helping you naturally reach conclusions and identify healthy coping mechanisms.
My approach to every client is different, so those seeking bereavement counselling will have an entirely different experience to those seeking an anxiety counsellor. As a person-centred counsellor, I will follow your lead and discuss the matters that are causing you concern.
Contact me today for or call me directly on 07787 835974 to discuss your worries, and I will do my best to help you.
